We offer a very simple multi-century warranty on all Solidteknics products, for all defects related to materials or manufacturing which occur during normal cooking. This is a manufacturing warranty for defects, and not valid for improper use, lack of maintenance, abuse, or 'change of heart'.
In effect, there is no time limit on our warranty: we will replace all genuine warranty claims, no matter in which century they are returned.
This is not a marketing gimmick: this is just solid engineering. The Solidteknics vision (and name) is based on developing only world-leading innovations of multi-century durability, manufactured in Australia. Our decades of experience developing chefs' equipment in multiple countries, extensive R&D, design, and the level of manufacturing care invested in Solidteknics products gives us confidence that these are the best products of their kind, in the world today. Our cookware is wrought from one solid piece of very tough material, with no coatings or joins, so our engineering and materials expertise give us the confidence that our cookware will last centuries, with normal recommended care.

What's not covered?
Seasoning issues. Seasoning can be challenging for those new to iron cooking though it is a technique that has been around for centuries and is not unique to our pans. Seasoning issues are not covered under warranty as they can always be remedied with some guidance or change in technique. Visit our Seasoning FAQs here.
Rust. Rust is common with iron pans, and is easily removed. Rust removal is covered in our Seasoning FAQs.
Warping. All of our pans have a carefully engineered concave to compensate for movement when heated. You can read more about this here. Warping can only be caused by incorrect use, such as exposing a cold pan to high, rapid heat (such as induction) or not correctly matching the size of the pan to the element (ie a large pan on a small element, causing uneven movement in just the centre of the base). We believe our non-nickel ferritic stainless steel is the healthiest and best conducting solution for high performance cooking where corrosion resistance is important (eg. acidic sauces, boiling and slow cooking of water-based liquids, etc). Most other manufacturers use austenitic Nickel stainless steels because these Nickel-based stainless steels (eg. 18/10, meaning 18% Chromium and 10% Nickel) are the shiniest when polished, and most corrosion-resistant of the stainless steels. We won't use Nickel for health reasons - one slight trade-off is corrosion resistance.
What's not covered?
Spots & rust: If nöni pans are left in corrosive situations without maintenance, small rust spots can appear. Usually, correct washing and drying is enough to avoid any spotting, and small rust spots will easily be polished off. Visit our nöni care instructions.
We don't recommend dishwashers for nöni because they are corrosive to metals in general, but they can be used if allowed to dry with an open door after wash cycle is complete.
Our cookware is designed for high performance, health and sustainability - not looks. We won't replace a pan, for a small, easily-fixed blemish or surface discoloration, as this will not affect performance and would create unnecessary waste. If perfectly shiny appearance is more important to you than health, sustainability, and multi-generation durability, there are many Nickel-based, clad/multi-ply and rivited brands available.

Our warranty covers oven use only. Use on any other heat source will void the warranty.
Our Baking Trays are designed for oven use only. While our baking trays are the toughest we've seen, there is a limit to what they can handle in terms of isolated or uneven spot heat, before the differential expansion in hot and cold zones buckles the large, flat, and unsupported surface.
What's not covered: use on stovetop will void the warranty.
Like our Solidteknics cookware, our Söliditi™ knives are wrought from one solid piece. We expect them to endure for centuries, with normal use, so our warranty is multi-century for our cookware and our knives. That means we will happily repair, replace, or refund, after inspection by our experts, any Söliditi™ knife that has materials or manufacturing defects. This warranty of course does not cover the use of the knife outside of our recommendations, or normal uses of fine Usuba or Deba knives, abuse, neglect, dropping, sideways leverage, or normal blade wear from cutting and sharpening.
With proper sharpening, your broad Usudeba blade can be sharpened over the centuries through phases of smaller chisel edge blades, down to fine paring or boning blades, and be handed down through many generations as a treasured date-stamped family heirloom.
Although our AUSfonte™ is now discontinued, this does not change our multi-century warranty. We will always replace any defective product, no matter which century it was purchased in. In the event that there is no AUSfonte™ replacement available, we will replace with an equivalent AUS-ION™ model.
Induction warping and thermal shock is not covered under our warranty. Our iron pans are so efficient with induction that heat can become too concentrated in the middle, particularly when mismatching induction ring size to pan size. Because our AUS-ION wrought iron pans are so efficient on induction, there is rarely any need to go above medium power settings. Small rings and high power can certainly warp any pan, and though ours are tougher than most, it is possible to ruin your pan through warping. The issues can be exaggerated with some high power or very centrally-focused induction. Like other situations of 'abuse', warped pans from overheating on induction are not covered under our warranty.
Iron pans can be warped and cast iron has been known to crack (although we’ve never seen it in our AUSfonte) due thermal shock from heating too quickly on electric or induction cooktops set on max.
To avoid warping and thermal shock:
Heat slowly: Warm your pan slowly on a lower setting, before increasing the heat.
Cool slowly: never apply water to a hot pan. The thermal shock can crack cast iron or warp steel pans, no matter how thick and tough. Allow your pan to cool a little before washing. Cracked pans from thermal shock are not covered under our warranty.
Correctly match the size of your pan to your heat source: It is important to always correctly match the size of your pan to your element. A large pan on a small element can cause uneven movement in just the centre of the pan, resulting in warping.
We will honour all legitimate warranty returns received by our retailers. In Australia we are happy for our customers to contact us directly with any genuine warranty concerns, and we will replace any defectives directly. All overseas purchases must be returned to the place of purchase.
Any claims for 'change of heart', purchases from our retailers must be handled by our retailers, as we do not offer refunds/exchanges for change-of-mind purchases.
Mutual Respect
Our most important request is for mutual respect. Please contact us directly in the first instance, should you have a concern about your cookware. Often it is just a seasoning struggle and not a warranty issue, and we are always happy to help customers overcome such issues so they can enjoy the many benefits of cooking with iron!
