This innovative TSS hand tool is the first incarnation of a dream held by Mark Henry for decades: to make solid one-piece hand tools for chefs that are stronger, more durable, more hygienic, and more functional, than the mass-produced imports that crowd the kitchenware stores…and our landfills when they inevitably break!
Mark has been designing, prototyping and testing a series of his ‘ideal’ versions of old standard tools, and TSS is the first to launch. For supporters of the Solidteknics vision, and collectors of our First Editions, this is a true collectible: the first batch of our first ever kitchen tool, and couldn’t get any more rare and collectible than than the first ever HenryMadeTM product, in a long series planned to launch in the future.
Our HenryMadeTM Titanium TSS will be ready and delivered in time for Christmas, whereas our stainless TSS has an estimated delivery of March 2021.
Why launch two versions?
These handmade tools are a true labour of love which require a significant investment of time and effort by Mark. Combined with the cost of Titanium material, it became quickly apparent that the cost of these tools would be unavoidably high. Mark has long dreamed of launching these special edition handmade tools, but never wanted SolidteknicsTM to be elitist.
However, recently he discovered most of his handmade small run hand tools could be replicated by machine. Not quite the same, but very close, and a whole lot less expensive. That’s when he decided he could launch with a clear conscience: offering similar hand tools at two ends of the spectrum, to ensure as many as possible had the opportunity to purchase these.
Solidteknics will continue this tradition of launching two versions of new hand tools, with HenryMadeTM products only being offered exclusively to Solid Lovers, for the foreseeable future. For all the blood, sweat, and tears involved in hand making these products (especially as we come into Queensland's summer!), Mark wanted each of them to only be available to his most Solid supporters!

A true collector's item, limited to 100 only.
Numbered in series (#20 onward offered), initialled by MJH and dated. The first ever piece from HenryMadeTM: an exclusive series of heirloom bespoke kitchen tools. Ti is 40% lighter weight, has similar strength and is softer than ferritic stainless, for less abrasion on cookware, ultimate corrosion resistance and stronger hand forged tapered scraping edge.
